The host

It chose a dog.

The plague has worn a lot of coats. Doctors, bikes, blocks. This season it went looking for something with a better nose, and it found a shiba who was already suspicious of everyone.

He took the hat without a word. The beak fits over the snout like it was measured. The raven stayed for the snacks.
